YOU COUNT
BE COUNTED
How To Check if you are listed as a woman (watch YouTube video)
The GPI/THM is an invaluable resource
This initiative tackles the misgendering problem in the GPI/THM poker database. Women are assigned as “women” based on cashing in women's events and on names, the latter of which is inherently prone to error. Women with gender-neutral and foreign names are hit hardest. It's a joint effort by respected poker organizations to fix this issue through awareness, education, collaborative data gathering, and advocacy.
The campaign's message is clear: "YOU COUNT. BE COUNTED." It aims for a more inclusive poker community where every player's identity is respected, regardless of gender.
